The Stylish Mom's Back to School List

Posted by Elizabeth Williams on

Back to School shopping is upon us, which means that it is a time for Moms everywhere to celebrate! Yes, "back to school" shopping with your kids can be a tedious, stressful bore, but with it, comes the recognition that YOU have officially survived another summer!

Congrats! You made it!

Fall is a great time to get excited about fashion. And what better time to get excited about YOUR fall fashion game, then during the "back to school" shopping season.

Here are a few things that I'm excited about this fall.

A-Laraline Rubber Faux Fur Chelsea Booties by Tretorn - Whether you are chaperoning the field trip to the pumpkin patch or stomping through a wet field on your way to the football game, you are going to need a pair of water-proof boots this fall. I love this shorter water-proof bootie from Tretorn that has a soft faux fur liner for those chilly fall days.

Ella Straight Ultra High Rise Vintage by DL1961 - I've been a fan of DL 1961 jeans for many years. However, lately what excites me most about this brand is the strides they have made toward sustainable fashion. Although I'm still lamenting the end of the skinny jean trend, I feel confident that I can get behind this straight leg look without having to change my entire fall wardrobe.

Jenna Foldover Crossbody by Brynn Capella - If you have been following this blog, then you know that I love to support local designers. This season, I am so excited to have discovered Brynn Capella, a Chicago bag designer that is taking the word "versatility" to new lengths. With an adjustable/ removable strap, this fold-over bag can be worn in almost every kid-friendly situation while still doubling as a great bag for a night out with your mom friends.

The Lasalle Parka by The Checkroom - Every stylish mom knows that fashion and function are equally important. The water-resistant Lasalle Parka is a show-stopping statement coat that holds it's own in the worst weather. Our customers always get compliments from the other moms on this stylish jacket, that converts to a rain parka in a pinch. With this jacket on, you can just let your kids HAVE that umbrella.
